IGI Global Scientific Publishing is pleased to announce the publication of Societal, Legislative, and International Implications of War Crimes, Genocide, and Ethnic Cleansing (2027), edited by Piotr Pietrzak.
This interdisciplinary volume offers a critical examination of how societies, legal systems, and the international community respond to the enduring consequences of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and war crimes.

In Statu Nascendi co-organized a seminar at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences dedicated to the main findings from the publication titled The Morality of Software-Defined Warfare: Just War Theory, Army Medicine, and AI (2026) – our most innovative publication to date. - May 27, 2026.
Founding Team
Piotr Pietrzak is co-founder of In Statu Nascendi Think Tank, a non-partisan and independent institution bringing together scholars from a wide range of disciplines. It is devoted to rigorous inquiry into contemporary conflict and political philosophy, and to generating actionable ideas on geoeconomic, political, and socio-economic matters.
A scholar, political thinker, author, and trained ontologist, Dr Pietrzak is particularly known for bringing a rigorous pragmatic perspective to international relations theory, conflict management, and geopolitics. His work consistently bridges theoretical inquiry and real-world application, making it relevant to both academic and policy audiences.
Evangelos Koumparoudis, Ph.D., is the author of Medicine in the Post-consumerist Society: A Philosophical Overview (2023). He is associated with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He held a visiting scholarship at the Sorbonne Université, Faculté des Lettres.
